IVIN Presentation @ Notacon

April 17, 2009
John Bowditch and I gave a demo of some of the hardware and software we’re using for the gridlab.ohio.edu Immersive Video Intelligence Network (IVIN) project, at Notacon 2009. We discuss the elephantine Panoscan Mark III panoramic still camera, a sub-$2000 equivalent we produced using a Canon EOS Digital Rebel, the software we’re using to stitch images (hugin.sf.net), and the production pipeline for producing playable game environments from the captured images. This video is a trimmed-down version of the recording provided by mediaarchives.com.
